Dr. Politzer has been my eye doctor for about 15 years. His extensive training and knowledge in the field of low vision turned what seemed to be a hopeless situation for me into a very manageable and pleasant outcome. During my teen years, I was told by more than one eye doctor that I would never be able to drive because of my vision and that I would always be dependent on someone else. As a teen, this news was devastating. However, I received a referral to see Dr. Politzer. He informed me that the news I had received previously was not the case. He introduced me to the technology of the bioptic. He and his staff trained me in the use of the bioptic and saw me through the process of acquiring my driver's license. Over the years, Dr. Politzer has continued to play a vital role in my ability to keep my driver's license by overseeing my eye condition and completing all the necessary paperwork that the state requires. Dr. Politzer, thank you for your continued dedication and concern for each of your patients. Your willingness and initiative to make advances in the field of low vision has changed many, many lives. I thank God that I have had the opportunity to be one whose life has been changed by your practice!

Scott Arnold
My name is Scot Arnold and I have had Macular Degeneration since birth. In addition to this condition I am severely nearsighted and have a pronounced Astigmatism. Because of the Macular Degeneration it is impossible to correct my nearsighted vision. I am considered Legally Blind and since I was old enough to know that a person needed a driver's license to drive, I thought that I would never drive. In mid 1996 at the age of 26 I had my first exam with Dr. Politzer. At the end of that first exam he informed me that I qualified to use a bioptic lens for driving. Needless to say I was excited and skeptical at the same time. After further testing and training with my driving glasses, I was able to take and pass my driver's license test in December of 1996. There is not a day that goes by that I don't reflect on the fact that I now am allowed to drive. The freedom that this privilege affords is one that I cherish. Doctor Politzer is caring and personable. His dedication to evaluating and maintaining my eye health is second to none. I am blessed to have him as my eye care professional.

I had a brain stem hemorrhage in 1990 that left me with double-vision. My regular optometrist told me that there was nothing that he could do. I heard of Dr. Politzer through a occupational therapist friend of mine in 1997.She had been to one of his seminars where he talked of helping people like me, with double-vision. I went to him and he fitted me with prism glasses that eliminate my double-vision! Everything looks so much better! My prism glasses, along with some vision therapy exercises that I do, are also improving my eyesight daily. Now I can look at thing as they truly are, thanks to Dr. Politzer. He sincerely cares and is a trusted friend!
